(Correction to this linked page! You DO need restraining orders, and they DON'T have to include your home address on them!  Use your attorney's, or a friend's.)  Many people get a r.o. when it's too late and the obsession has already become physically dangerous.  Restraining orders work best when filed at the earliest possible point of the problem!  (Some folks will tell you that involving the police "just" makes the stalker mad and they stalk you more -- well, they're going to stalk you more anyway -- start your legal fight sooner rather than later!  Don't wait for it to get worse!)
